Middle School summer mission
July 8-11, 2025
Love Begins Here (LBH) is a middle school mission trip experience that facilitates an encounter Jesus Christ through a week of local service lived in a joyful, Catholic community. Inspired by the life and witness of St. (Mother) Teresa of Calcutta, LBH invites teens to serve those in need in their own homes and communities, thus continuing Christ's work on earth.
WHAT WILL WE DO?
Middle School youth from St. Jude the Apostle Parish will perform a variety of service activities such as; serving at a food pantry, painting a fence, or planting a garden during the day. Follow that up with ice cream, swimming, prayer, and a ton of fun while making friends with teens from all over the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. LBH teen Missionaries from St. Jude the Apostle Parish will serve those in need in our Archdiocese.
WHO CAN GO?
This year's mission will be open to the first 20 middle school youth currently in grades 6-8 who complete the application below (addidtional youth will be placed on a wait list).
TRANSPORTATION
We will travel by personal transportation provided by Adult Missionaries and properly insured.
HOUSING
We will enjoy the hospitality of a local parish. Meals and programming will take place at this same site.
COST
The cost of a missionary to participate in this opprutunity is $175.00. Each missionary is required to contribute $100 towards the cost of their trip. The banalce will be fundraising activities.
MEDICAL INFORMATION
It is reccomended that you make sure you have an updated tetanus booster if due.
FORMS
Once the application is complete, permission slips and medical forms will be emailed to parents.
PACKING LIST
A packing list will be provided for all participants at the first preparation session.
PREPARATION SESSIONS
LBH participants and a parent/guardian are required to attend all preparation sessions. All meetings will take place in the St. Jude Activity Center.
